What Talli does today
Talli keeps every veterinary record for a household's pets in one place: visits, laboratory results, medications, vaccinations and imaging, with each value traceable back to the document it was read from.
The list below is what the software does. Nothing on it is aspirational, and the things it cannot do yet have their own section at the bottom.
Getting records in
A document arrives as a file, a photo from the library, or a page photographed with the camera, and is filed against a pet. Eleven file types are accepted: PDF, JPEG, PNG, HEIC, HEIF, TIFF, WEBP, DICOM, plain text, CSV, and the "the client did not know" type that is sniffed on arrival. Every upload is streamed to a malware scanner and has its real type checked from its bytes before anything is read out of it.
Anything can also be typed in by hand: a weight or other measurement, a vaccination, a visit, a laboratory panel, or a prescription, on the web app and on the phone.
What the record holds
A timeline. Every record on file, newest first, filterable, across nine kinds of record: visit, laboratory panel, prescription, vaccination, imaging study, document, measurement, observation and note.
Laboratory results. Panels as they were reported, and the history of a single analyte across every panel, drawn against the reporting laboratory's own reference interval.
Measurements. Ten kinds, from weight and temperature to body condition score and pain score, each as a series.
Medications. A prescription becomes a schedule, and each dose is recorded as it happens.
Vaccinations and visits. The history, and what the record says falls due next.
Ten health areas. Weight, kidney, liver, blood, heart, thyroid, allergies, mobility, dental and nutrition, each computed only from records on file, and each saying what is missing when it cannot answer.
Observations. Patterns in the pet's own records, each listing the records it was read from, each labelled as an observation and never as a diagnosis.
Breed knowledge. Sixty-eight breeds, 45 dog and 23 cat, with 351 sourced predisposition entries across 104 conditions and 213 citations. Every entry is stamped as a statement about a population and never as a diagnosis, and one with no source cannot be written at all.

Getting records out
Share a link. A scoped, expiring link that shows only what you chose, can carry a password and a view limit, and records every attempt to open it.
Export a file. Four kinds: a vaccination record and a full record as PDF, laboratory results as CSV, and the stored imaging as a ZIP with a manifest.
Download everything. The whole archive of what Talli holds about you, as one ZIP. It is free on every plan, it is never metered, and it does not ask for a password.
Keep the whole history. Full history is on for every plan, and there is no retention rule and no trimming anywhere in the product.
Who else can see it
The unit is a household, not a person. Four roles decide what a member can do: owner, member, veterinarian and viewer. Ownership can be handed to another member, and exactly one person holds it at a time.
What it does not do yet
This section exists because the alternative is letting you find out later.
It does not read a scan or a photograph. Text is pulled from a PDF's own text layer. Optical character recognition is an unwired prototype, and the measurement behind that decision is in the AI page.
It does not read images. An imaging study is stored exactly as the clinic sent it, and DICOM is never decoded. Nothing generates an annotation on a study.
A share link cannot show an imaging study. The scope exists in the data and is not offered, because the viewer behind the link cannot render it.
It does not search across your documents. Embeddings are written and never queried, so there is no semantic search to claim.
It does not connect to a clinic's practice-management system. The upload API refuses that channel outright.
It gives no diet, feeding or nutrition guidance. That capability was retired before it had a feature behind it.
It is not released. Talli is built and running, on a laptop, not as a service you can sign up for. There is no App Store or Google Play listing.
